Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of knowledge and understanding about positive discipline, 2) to design and develop a handbook for strengthening positive discipline, and 3) to evaluate the appropriateness and potential effectiveness of the strengthening positive discipline handbook for parents of students at Wiengsa School. The research procedure comprised three stages: 1) assessing the level of knowledge and understanding about positive discipline among parents of 310 students through data collection, 2) designing and developing the strengthening positive discipline handbook for parents, and 3) evaluating the appropriateness, potential effectiveness, and usefulness of the handbook. The research utilized various instruments for data collection, including questionnaires, in-depth interviews, achievement evaluation tests based on handbook usage, and evaluation forms for assessing appropriateness, potential effectiveness, and usefulness. Basic statistical methods, such as percentages, means, standard deviations (S.D.), and t-tests, were employed for data analysis.

The level of knowledge and understanding about positive discipline among parents of Wiengsa School students was assessed by examining parenting styles and behaviors, both positive and negative. Overall, the results indicated a high level of understanding.
The strengthening positive discipline handbook for parents of Wiengsa School students comprised four parts: 1) Introduction 2) Strengthening Discipline 3) Positive Discipline, and 4) Additional Resources. The evaluations of the appropriateness, potential effectiveness, and usefulness of the strengthening positive discipline handbook for parents of Wiengsa School students yielded overall results at the highest level, with rankings in terms of usefulness, potential effectiveness, and appropriateness. Following the utilization of the handbook, parents demonstrated a statistically significant increase in their understanding, at a significance level of 0.05.
